Farage Resigns as MP of Clacton
Whether I like Farage or not is another matter, whether I like his policies or lack of or not is also another matter. But I think many of Labour and Tory MPs have had donations from more dubious sources than Farage ever could, they have just had the backing of the establishment to sweep them under the rug better:
The timing of these attacks ramping up to this extreme now where they go after his family and him so aggressively could not be more telling in my point of you. The Blairite project has got its new puppet in place in Burnham, it no longer needs to convince the like of wannabe-establishment Farage to lean slightly left when it can just guide the left to be lightly on the centre on core issues. Meaning. The establishment doesn’t have any use of Farage anymore.
However, with everything being said, this is a problem of his own making. The parliamentary rules are pretty clear. Why not declare it from the get go? Why wait to be found out first and then squirm about it? He is making it out that it is for his security and then proceeds to give the most tamest examples known to people in this sphere.
He had no concerns with Tommy Robinson’s family information being leaked and him being attack on all sides to such an extent when he and his family can’t even live openly in the country. For him he had almost no sympathy. Whether you agree on his tactics or politics, or not. He said he would not tolerate this being done to him, and appalled by the state’s indifference to it. Ok, so you want the “tattooed thugs” to show concern for you when you had no empathy to offer, when you were in a position to express concern with some effect but did nothing. I don’t think so. On your bike.
Getting death threats, having things thrown at you during campaign season, and your car being jumped on by a small mob. To me that is very tame. And if it wasn’t so then he should have revealed his source of funds straight away, especially if it is as passionate of a reason as he is claiming it to be.
All he has ever cared about is making money. All he ever cries about and has done so in his resignation speech he has given today is the loss of earning due to becoming an elected member of EU for 20 years and earning less than he could have done. No one stopped him from running and operating businesses when he was MEP, didn’t stop the likes of Ben Habib or Rupert Lowe or even Richard Tice. So, what is this fake sympathy story he is trying to push down our throats? We are supposed to feel sorry about what?
No. It has always been about money for him. And what is in it for him. Otherwise he walks. He says he will step down and let the public decide - well the public of Clacton already decided when they elected you - why didn’t you decide to reveal your sources of income as you are supposed to do? By the end of the day, this country cannot be fixed on the back of mercenaries.
Even if he does stand again, as his now latest stunt to finance the by election through Reform purse and save government the cost. What is the point of this all?
You are taking member’s money to pay for a by election as a marketing campaign so you spend less on advertising to campaign for a seat you were already elected on, and you will still be investigated anyway. Couldn’t you have donated that money to do some good in Clacton and surrounding areas?
The administration cost of by elections is from consolidated funds, and there isn’t any straight forward way to reimburse those funds by private entities as far as I know.
There is nothing about him but populist slop that revolves around him and his ego, nothing ever to make any tangible difference to the lives of people. He took that donation in 2024 before the elections, he had a lot of time to declare, and it was clearly not for protection as he is claiming it to be for, I am sure that reality tv stunt earned him enough to secure that part anyway. He really puts a bad name and bad face to the opposition of establishment.
Now, comes the point of what happens. Is Reform now on the verge of imploding and not existing, after the troubles in Restore camp recently? Has the establishment won? Will the people become so dejected that they will kneel to the Blairite Globalist plan? Well, the route to that destination I have smelled a long time ago, its scent has been rife in the weakness of the resolve of many.
But to sing a slightly more positive note. I hope he doesn’t stand or that he if he does then he loses. Maybe it is good for Reform to be rid of Farage. Maybe they can get on with being what they were supposed to be. Although, depends on who takes over. Maybe getting rid of him is the key to the merging of the modern political right into a more cohesive traditionalist conservative movement to combat the excessive influence of the globalist order.
One this is for sure. It is almost becoming pointless commenting on the British political scene, as everything changes before you are able to form a firm opinion, one way or another.

Excellent article Momus and I do agree with you wholeheartedly on each and every point. I honestly hope that Reform and Restore and perhaps even the conservatives come together after this because the left are massively gaining ground and traction again and that will be the end of this country entirely. We will wind up as some nameless, faceless state of the EU, over run even more than we currently are with savage and violent 3rd worlders who have low IQ’s and low standards in every area that should be important. I’m not a fan of Farage. I find him slippery. But he does have a certain kind of charm that people can and do get behind. Like you said, his treatment of Tommy Robinson and his family was disgraceful and to be perfectly honest he never sticks his head above the parapet for much. Rupert Lowe is a far greater man with a more amiable and passionate side so if the good eggs from Reform would join up with Restore I believe they could do great things and then Farage can go lick his wounds and enjoy the gifts he was given.
