Go back to your Churches !
Whatever those churches might be - to traditions and roots of these lands.
People of Britain. Whether you believe or not. It might be a good idea, to fill your churches with your presence. Bring your communities together under a unifying culture. You can remain a non-believe like myself but still tether yourself to the basis for Western values and traditions.
We are growing apart from each other day by day, the more we leave our churches empty. And when they are left empty, corrupted ideas like woke take hold of them and degrade our sense of belonging even more. We need to drive that away as well, open the doors and let some fresh air in.
In my view, it is not so much about worship but more about a sense of belonging and a sense of communal connection. It gives you the sense of being part of something bigger than yourself. And for those who believe it keeps them honest within themselves. But we all have the chance to hear those stories, over and over, the stories that bind us to each other. The kind of stories that tell us who we are and what we expect each other to be.
And so, as someone between being an agnostic or perhaps someone more inline with being a sort of Christian Deist, I say, we need to fill back our churches and come together to regain the culture slowly slipping away. And in that way, show any foreign religion and ideology, that yes we might welcome other ideas, have tolerance towards them but that does not mean we think them to be better than ours.
I don't know. I might not be right, I might not know enough, but this I say it from the heart. This is something I have been grappling with. Years of internal dialogue. But it is as my wife says, it is about the connection, from the past to the present and to the future. And I think so too. The truth of our being might change as our understanding evolve, but it is that connection that hold us true to ourselves and we must regain that connection.
