I was having a conversation yesterday with a Pakistani from Karachi who moved to Britain over 25 or so years ago. Indifferent to Islam, and cut off relationship with other Pakistanis. Wife is Irish.
Older than me, but I found some things similar with him to me. Although I am not just indifferent to Islam, I left it 18 years ago, and I am vocal against it. But basically westernised and integrated with a view of having future generations assimilated.
He said the same thing to me that others like him have said as well. Especially the Pakistanis from Karachi, who are ethnically different to the majority Punjabi and Mirpuris we have in Britain. He said, the same Pakistanis that we wanted to get away from are the ones that Britain welcomed blindly. Those who would not even integrate properly within Pakistani metropolitan cities. The culturally uneducated and crass, who have cousin married their braincells to zero.
I agreed, of course I agreed. This is something I have talked about before. There are different ethnicities within Pakistan, and Britain seems to have welcomed the worst of the lot. Those who are the very reason why Pakistan turned into a failed state. Britain must find a way to repatriate these people. Through a series of revocation of citizenships and forced deportations of the criminal elements, and a route of voluntary repatriation after heavily cutting down on benefits and their religious exemptions which will make them more prone to leave.
After such things, the immigration policy needs to be completely overhauled, and barriers put in place so that this mistake is never repeated in the future.
This feeling amongst the immigrants who moved to Britain to be a part of her and for the love of her, is not a solitary feeling. Many feel it, however not many feel brave enough to voice it. An increasing number of immigrants are in favour of deporting the migrants and generational migrant families who have failed to integrate and become a positive contributor to Britain. Especially the Islamic dogmatists.
Progressive metropolitan cities were moving to a better place within Pakistan, cities like Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. But these same elements have managed to bring these cities to their uncouth levels with Islamism. This has happened as Sharia Law has managed to creep more into the Pakistani Penal Code which was based on English Common Law, the increase in Madrasas, and the over Islamisation of Pakistan since General Zia onwards. And it doesn’t help when the more educated and culturally Western Pakistanis have left the cities in droves and left the wronguns to their own devices. And now they are finding their new homes being polluted by the same wronguns being welcomed by the West.
The only thing I would say, that these Pakistanis and other immigrant classes, should have voiced their concerns decades ago when ex-muslims and others like me were warning about the future that such laxed policies would bring. They should have had a backbone to pushback against that class of migrants moving in and destroying the fabric of their new homes. Alas, they didn’t. And now the problem is a lot bigger that did not need to be.
