I think I am almost ready to step away from all and any political party or movement. There is no unity, and I see a lot of amateurism from many corners, not all, but from enough. And many people of extreme opinions trying to push their own nefarious agendas, you just don't know who to trust.
Past 5 years it has brought me nothing but misery to be honest, and nothing has been done to help the public. I think I am ready to break off all official lines of associations, concentrate more on my own work and building my own stuff, and also regaining some momentum at my day job which pays the bills and supports the family.
By the end of the day, I am my own person, I can be friends with many and help out where needed but I don't want to be associated with anyone explicitly unless I see serious and professional effort and output. And also a willingness to actually involve me properly.
There are a lot of wronguns and selfish grifters in the ears of good people leading them astray - but ultimately people should take personal responsibility for being led astray themselves. You are all adults and you need to grow the hell up.
I also see a lot of older generation, giving way to really young generation, without any pushback to some of their extreme and naïve and ill thought out narratives. This I think is a bad move, they don't have the life experience or knowledge of how things actually work to be given unlimited reins without constraints. You are not doing your job well if you just want the younger generation to fix things for you, you need to guide them and do the dirty work yourself. This is exactly what the left did and ruined the West, and now the right is doing the same. It is good that the young are involved but stop making them leaders when they haven't even learned how to follow.
Anyway. I am doing my own thing. As I have always done, and as I will always do. I work for no one in this space. "I am on nobody's side because nobody is on my side". In that context. I want what is best for all without caring for my ego. I see so many out there only want to help others or be part of something if they can be seen as heroes. Being a hero is more important for these people than saving people. That is a character flaw that you should not want in a leader.
Said for many years now the need to build physical and intellectual strongholds. Build those so people have a banner to get behind. Build something beyond your own selfish desires. Not just think tanks or political parties. But something that helps the ordinary person. Do that and I will be with you to help. Otherwise there isn't much point. Talk is cheap.
Sagely words and I agree, so many saviours, so many Pied Piper's and what to show for it? A big dollop of disappointment and frustration. If we can't build a movement based on a sound moral compass and our innate sense of right and wrong, then perhaps we will never gain the solid cohesion we seek.
But, there there could be another way... Momus for Parliament! Hear, hear, hear. Order, order!
