The Age of the Enlightened Stupid !
My frustrations with social media "information" peddlers and their enablers
Social media has made information into a game, where the truth has no value, but only the monetization of reach has currency.
And by the end of the day when such people - who are only trying to game the system - are confronted with truth, they either deflect with whataboutism, or move over to something new, or say ‘hey I am just spreading information’, or most notably say to you of your source "can't believe them because of (insert favourite outlandish conspiracy that confirms their own prejudice)”. These are the kind of people, who have been gaming the system for a while now. Because to them only material gains matter in this world. And only material gains matter to others as well - as they see their gains and say ‘ah well he/she is doing alright for themselves so what is the problem’.
These people have propped up more since the time of lockdowns and covid. Where they took people’s legitimate concerns and resistance against state control, and used it to their benefit. And they gathered a huge following at that time because they were an outlet for people’s frustrations which no mainstream media was articulating or interested in. In fact all the MSM and government did was demonise those with legitimate concerns. So such people stepped in. The market opportunists. And because of this, they thing they have gained some sort of expertise in the matter when they know nothing of what they speak. They just play on emotions - and sometimes they would hit the right notes - but that is not because of any virtue of their own. They steal ideas from actual experts and regurgitate them as their own, and so people marvel at their brilliance. But their own ideas are fraught with utter stupidity.
The problem is that you all don't see the problem with a world geared away from morality, principles and values above else. There is now no concept of right and wrong - only what is beneficial for the individual. Everyday you all become less and less human, and you don't even see it. And to be honest, I am starting to not care anymore. Because I don't think you will see it. I think you are determined for your own destruction. I would prefer a world that believed in God, and their care for their souls in the afterlife, than a world where anything goes as long as it makes one happy. The pursuit of happiness is maximalising of materialistic orientation towards your realities - it is destructive to the essence of humanity. And I do not like it.
