The Imprisonment of Tommy Robinson and the Need to Pull Together
In this episode I discuss my feelings around the continued imprisonment of Tommy Robinson / Stephen Yaxley-Lennon. And I also say a few words which I had written down as speech for the 1st of February rally, that I couldn't attend due to some unforeseen circumstances. But to be honest, I am not much of a public speaker anyway.
This nation has an uncanny habit of facing grave obstacles and overcoming them against all odds. And an uncanny habit of producing folk heroes who help them achieve those victories. These heroes are never the willing ones, or the most capable, and never saints from birth. All with their own demons which they have to overcome first.
A chequered history becomes irrelevant once a man is put on the right path by the hand that guides us all. For he who is without sin cast the first stone. A man becomes determined and dedicated to the right path once he goes forth and promises to sin no further. And we must praise that man for he has suffered the lessons that we are privileged to learn from without the struggle. We must understand those lessons and not unjustly target the man for having to learn them.
This isn’t about politics; it must be beyond politics. Politics right now is like trying to choose an icecream flavour without knowing what any of the flavours are supposed to taste like. So, it doesn’t matter which flavour you choose. Reform, Tories, UKIP, Britain First, or SDP. Pay your dues and buy the icecream as it is important we don’t burn everything down in the process of fixing what is broken. Especially when an alternative to replace it hasn’t been established.
But the way of fixing all of this is first within you. And from you into the wider culture. And from there into whichever way the social culture dictates for us to organise ourselves as close to the traditional values that makes us a nation in every sense of the way.
We have made the necessary function of state political and the democratic function tribal, and the law subjective. These are the terms of chaos. In which only our enemies thrive. We must reject these terms. The needs of the people of this country must be put first.
We have to think what we are doing here and why we are doing it. Are we trying to save this country for ourselves or for our children and their children and on and on. The latter is the embodiment of a nation. And so to save it, maintain it, and ensure its future prosperity, we have to engage in voluntary self sacrifice over our hedonistic self serving desires. That is the game to play.
