Yes absolutely sound ideas of what needs to be done to avoid a "immense civic unrest"
The BIG problem is of course there is no chance of any of what you suggest will happen under the incoming Labour Government with a likely large majority.
No common sense action with regard to these issues was taken under the Tories so it ain't going to happen under Labour. Quite the opposite I suspect.
So it's back to civic unrest. A massive rejection of the incoming Government and Parliament by people who want this nation to survive. After that the only answer is the imposition of a Emergency non party Government on a what equates to a war time footing.
It's that serious - but most of our dumb ass people who will be bothered to vote on Thursday won't wake up the what is happening. Only one political leaflet that has come through my door even mentions immigration - and that was Reform and they will not be our next Government.
This country needs to follow the lead of our brother Europeans but we stupidly march in the opposite direction completely.
There is low chance of whatever I have suggested to happen in a Tory government as well, or even a possible Reform government as they are only reactionaries without any deeper policy understanding on to get things done. Europeans are different, their sensibilities are different, their problems are different, their political system is different.
This problem won't be solved in a minute and people should stop looking for quick solutions to a complex problem. This will take a generation or two to fix, if we start building towards it now. This is why I support SDP, because they are the only ones with a sound intellectual base and an already established political philosophy, that will do what is necessary with as less civil unrest as possible in the long run. More people need to support them and maybe we can start fixing things a lot sooner. People will start realising more and more from 5th of July onwards.
