Momus that is another great article.

I agree with it 100%

A few of us do understand that there is no happy mid point between the West and Islam, and there never can be

They are instructed to dominate.

No negotiations.

The basic principles of Islam are not difficult to understand. It is not exactly hidden.

Either we ban this evil ideology from Britain in it's entirety or we perish.

Where the will and strength could come from to do that I cannot see.

Certainly not from politics and liberal democracy.

As for you I have read your exasperation and pain. I share it.

Poland beckons you and if I personally had that option I would go

The Polish still have fight in them.

I thank you for all that you have tried to do.

Don't sacrifice yourself however, for a country and a nation that neither knows nor seems to care that the enemy is already within the walls.

You cannot keep supporting stupidity.

Aragorn: "Are you frightened?"

Frodo "Yes"

Aragorn " Not nearly frightened enough.

I know what hunts you"

It is painful to see. Yes, the Poles don't just have a fight in them but need no further convincing on the negative of Islam. They know the score. I visit there often due to my in laws being there as mentioned, and it just seems so much saner. At least you don't have to reassert the basic realities, and keep fighting over common sense things, and can actually think a step further, converse about things a step further. It is so liberating to be in that environment. I don't know. I am becoming incredibly depressed day by day.

I didn’t want to think about any of it let alone write what I have just written in this piece.

I know.

I have a similar problem…

We will see what comes over the next few years, and we won’t go quietly into the fog.

About ten years ago I was of the mindset where I felt, as a result of Empire, it was inevitable that we should welcome people from around the Commonwealth who wanted to settle here. I recognised that Islam was problematic but thought its 'extremism' was due to a minority who has misinterpreted religious texts.

This is nonsense of course. It is the peaceful muslims who have misinterpreted the texts. They are the radical ones if they believe in a truly pluralistic society.

Today, I feel there must be a moratorium on all immigration from Muslim lands as well as anyone outside the highest skillset. The idle British who are not working must be made to work and welfare cut right back. What I just suggested is considered controversial even after twenty years of terrorism. Momus, I think your pessimism is well founded.

I am not usually a pessimistic person, which is why it is hard for me to admit the reality on this score. I would still like to help change course but .... well. I just don't know anymore.
