What do I think about Greenland?
What do I think about Greenland? Not much. Apart from the following.
America is the only Western country at the moment that provides any realistic military opposition to Russia and China. And of course any other enemies of the West, I am just using the two most powerful examples. For a reason. Because either of them would be very interested in acquiring Greenland or having influence over it as its a strategical gateway to North America from the Arctic circle.
The Western world depends of America to police the international world affairs on their behalf and in their favour. There is no way Denmark can stand on its own two feet against both or even one opposition half the might of Russia or China for the next decade or so even if they started beefing up their military from today. None of the Western countries are in that position. Poland would be the only one closest to that point in a decade, Britain is definitely not there to stand on their own and unless something is done to reverse it the situation is getting worse.
We need America, and we need America to have national security, border security, and trade security to be able to maintain that might and shield, while the rest of the West actually wakes up and start strengthening themselves. Giving up net zero madness would be a start. Again, does anyone see that happening anytime soon? Not really. Without America, the whole Western project would collapse, even with America it is already collapsing, without them there wouldn’t even be a hope of recovery.
So, in my humble opinion. It would be best for Western countries and certain politicians to stop showing false bravado against Trump, be realistic, and understand the situation they have put themselves in because of their idiotic decisions over the last few decades. And then facilitate a way to negotiate a lease term with America for Greenland. With mutually beneficial trade agreements especially around natural resources. This would be the best position for Denmark to take and other Western countries should encourage them to take that position.
What we need, is strength
So far we don’t have it, the USA does.
We should count ourselves lucky it’s them, and work on ourselves to be one of equals, rather than vassals.

We do not have to like or approve of everything America does nor to like Trump.
The truth is that we do rely on the USA to police the world and hold worst regimes at bay. They are the inheritors of the role that the British used to play on the world stage.
Not always right,
But the best of a bad job.
The UK is going down and I see a dark future for the whole of the West.
We are being destroyed by enemies from within and being demographically replaced by the Third World.
No one gives a bugger about OUR borders and freedom.
That is my main concern.
