Will we ever see the eagles again?

Will the eagles ever come now
swooping in to save all
against tyranny and malevolence,

Will we ever look up to the heaven
waiting for the flapping wings
the thunderous cry of justice, 

That moment when all hope is lost
but yet a memory lingers still
that they will come, to protect, 

Will we ever see the eagles again
to uphold the freedoms long forgotten
the last line of defence, 

Their good names besmirched 
by those of their own kin
Will we ever see them fly high with pride?
