Woke is not dead. The solution is beyond politics.
Politics is not the lone solution to fix the problems. They are so deeply embedded into all our institutions. Some people just don’t realise. Just simply removing DEI officers will not fix the problem because the practice and attitude is going to remain the same within public services.
People who are outside of it or don’t really do a real job love saying ‘woke is dead’, they don’t suffer the daily consequences of it. Also people who work for smaller family firms or are self employed. They don’t interact personally with it if they choose not to. Woke is not dead, it is deeply embedded. It is what tells public servants to be political, it is what tells public services to be biased towards a liberal woke worldview.
There is no getting around it on the ballot box. These public organisations know how to circumnavigate the political will and how to wave off political concerns. The only way is a complete dismantling of the system and starting again. And I don’t think that is possible without some form of civil war, and then reordering the way of things. From the monarch to the pauper.
If you think that this can just go away and we can just vote for who we want and all of the woke nonsense will blow away then you really don’t understand or know the problem. Yes, the extremes of it will, the extremes of any ideology are only ever there for the temporary. But the extremes helps to embed some key core changes within the systems before it leaves. Woke has already done its job. The house is filled with termites. You need to dismantle it all to start again.
The Communists, Socialists, Globalists, and Islamists are all attacking the West. They all have their own personal agendas, they don’t fully agree with each other, and don’t necessarily work with each other. But because they all have the same end goal, it seems like there is one mastermind. You don’t really know who you are fighting at any given time. And they all use tools of each other, to varying degrees, for their own machinations. Woke is a tool that all seem to use interchangeably. Because its a liberal disease and this is how they get into the system.
At a deeper level, I wonder if there really is any point in talking about anything anymore. Time might be better spent just preparing for the civil war to come. Start making better networks and strongholds with your sane neighbours.
I have suffered through the hands of Liberal Woke for the past 5 years now. First ostracised at work for refusing to take the covid vaccines, even labelled as some as being the cause of the deaths of people because of my decision not to do so. And then I have been investigated at work for a period stretching around 6 or so months. Threatened with dismissal due to gross misconduct. Apparently for being “Islamophobic”, “Transphobic”, and “Racist”. Because of my views on social media. Because of my pro-speech pro-common sense pro-British stance. I was luckily helped by Free Speech Union but I didn’t have the means to counter sue my workplace when they dropped the investigation after I didn’t just accept their labels. They were concerned with me having conservative views - not extremist - but conservative views. They labelled me “Islamophobic” because I criticised a Muslim YouTuber when he called for the death of ex-muslims for leaving Islam. This is the kind of braindead attacks I have had to deal with. And yes the investigation was dropped, but along with it any chance of progress. That is a serious loss of expected earning and growth.
Being dismissed for gross misconduct means losing your pension along with your job with other companies being hesitant to hire you afterwards. Even if they do it would be at a lower level than your current one so they can mitigate the risk. And if dismissed for being “Islamophobic” or “Transphobic”, do you really think anyone else was going to hire me afterwards? Along with this, as most of my readers know and as does my work know, that I have cancer. It is something I live with and have 6 more years left before I am in the clear given that it doesn’t come back in that time. Do the people who say “woke is dead” realise the risks others take and what they have to weigh up? I don’t think so. They have their freedom on the back of people like us and instead of recognising our concerns they have become detached, they are only busy in building their “brand”.
This is all to say, so you know, when people ask me “oh work with us on this” “work with us on that” “be involved with this party” “help that movement” - I am sorry, but no one can really guarantee my pay or pension, and I am not one to sell my soul to grift. I am not famous enough to ride my fame. And I criticise any and everyone so people little egos get hurt and they prefer not to promote me much.
No, woke is really not dead. Identity politics is not dead. Anti-woke overtime has become as much of a problem as woke although not when it comes to workplaces as its not dominant there. So, no. We need to find our own way to bring back some sensibility and fight this madness overtime. I have to keep at my workplace and try to find better ways to get my message across. There are many there who support me, and some I have managed to influence for the good. And I will keep on doing it. And over here, I have all you lovely readers, and my paid subscribers. I hope your numbers increase and we can take a better journey together.
This is one of the main reasons why I am changing my podcast or rather setting it back to how it used to be. More about history and mythology, and taking out the conversations with controversial people about political issues. Or at least reducing it and only discussing with some academic context. I discuss this change briefly in my latest video on YouTube:
I have also deleted my podcast from all other platforms apart from YouTube and Substack. And I am working on some content for the next year, so hopefully next year will be a fresh year.
In my earlier post, I discussed how despondent I had been feeling, and constantly thinking of leaving England and moving to Poland to live with my inlaws:
The fallout from culture wars is not the same for all.
The fallout from culture wars is not the same for all.
I don’t know if I would leave just yet. I don’t really want to. But the future is unpredictable. The recent news about the Judge ruling ‘criticism of Islam’ as being a valid right is encouraging. It means that maybe I can test the waters with my book on Islam eventually. I am not entirely sure when I will be able to complete it but I am hoping to make it as simple as possible for all audiences.
Now, I am in the process of buying a house, again. After the extreme hike in mortgage rates forced us to sell our previous property over a year or so ago. Well, there were other factors as well, it was our first property, it needed a lot of work which was going to be costly, it wasn’t the right fit for us and mistakes were made which we have now learned from. But we did sell it at a bit of a profit and were able to pay off our loans. However, we are shafted at the property we were going to buy, couldn’t go through with it, and had to move to a rented accommodation. So, now we are trying to buy again, but it is proving to be really difficult. I have to say, stamp duty is being a ridiculous hurdle in this process. But I am trying to at least tie us down to England for the next 5 years, and hopefully then for years to come. For that matter if you are unable or are unwilling to become paid subscriber to my podcast, or want to help out further, please consider contributing to my “buymeacoffee” donation page. I don’t really like asking it but I can use a bit of help right now.
Anyway. Thank you for reading. And I hope you have a brilliant rest of the day.

First priority is to take care of you and yours.
No point in banging your head bloody against the woke wall and making a martyr of yourself to try and right all the wrongs.
All decent minded people need to be in this fight but each of us has a primary duty to those we love and who depend on us. The "normies" have yet to wake up and see the need to fight.
You have made your voice heard which is a brave and risky thing to have done.
We will need your help later on without a shadow of a doubt but in the meantime be wise.
